How to plan a wedding in 3 months

If you’ve spent any time on wedding blogs, wedding websites or reading wedding magazines, you know that most experts recommend having about 12-18 months to plan a wedding. But, if you read last week’s post featuring Taylor Hutchins, a Spring Lake Bride, you know that timeline is a gross estimation of how long it takes to plan a wedding at Spring Lake. In fact, she planned her wedding in just three months!

First, I’d love to know why you chose to plan a wedding in 3 months?

First off, my husband and I could not wait to get married, once he proposed we wanted to start out new life together as soon as possible and have the fresh start we were looking for for so long. My husband was in rehab for 18 months prior to our wedding, I only got to see him on Sundays at Church and once a month for family days. When he got home to me, it was a little over a month when he decided to propose. And like I said we were so eager to take that next step and we just did not want to wait much longer and our new journey together.

How did your wedding turn out?

My wedding turned out absolutely incredible. Everything that I seriously could have dreamed of. I could not have asked for a better turn out, to this day I love going back and looking through all of our pictures and our wedding video because it couldn’t have been any more perfect. I’d relieve it a million times over if I could.

Can you tell me about how stressful it was or wasn’t to plan a wedding that quickly?

At first it was very stressful knowing we were wanting to get married in just three shorts months. Before I found the venue I often thought there is no way that we are going to be able to pull this off. But then, I looked online at Spring Lake and it was there in big letters. That October 18th was available at a discounted price due to a cancellation. It was almost to good to be true. And that was the day before my husband’s birthday as well! So we went and looked and instantly knew that’s where I wanted to marry the love of my life.

How did Spring Lake make the process easier?

Spring Lake was great with working with us, well I should probably say my mom. She took over the reigns so it’d be even less stress on me. We were extremely relieved when we realized that they had so many decorations to help choose from to use and that was a major burden taken off our shoulders and a huge money saver as well (even though the place is so gorgeous to don’t need much to decorate in the first place). Mike was wonderful about making sure everything was done exactly how I wanted it, down the all the lights that I wanted displayed. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful process and I have to say I’m glad we made that leap of faith and planned our wedding in such a short time. I seriously could not have done it without Spring Lake or my mother!

Next time, we’ll be back to show you all the benefits of booking with Spring Lake and planning a quick wedding!
