Vintage weddings are hot. We’re already booked and we’re not kidding.
A lot of people call us to check our availability for vintage weddings, and think we’re kidding when we tell them we are already almost completely booked for until a year from now. Believe me, this is the official word: yes, our Saturdays are booked for spring/early summer of 2017.
The good wedding venues get booked quickly, and we are honored to be in that category. God has been good to us and we are almost always booked a year in advance. Yes, we certainly (occasionally) have cancellations, but generally, you want to be planning your wedding at least a year in advance if you want to have some of the best wedding vendors in Georgia on your team on wedding day.
And the absolute first thing you need to take care of is having a location for your wedding. It will most likely dictate your caterer, type of dress, guest list, and maybe even the length of your wedding. And, if you’re dreaming of a wedding in a certain season (or with a specific type of flower), you should be planning a year and half early.
It sounds crazy, especially when you tell your parents. They usually scoff at the idea of booking a wedding venue a year early, because back in their day, they just told the church a month or two in advance and told all their friends and family to keep that day available.

Weddings are an entirely new ballgame these days. They are beautiful and highly personalized. They’re detailed, elaborate, and entertaining. And they’re always dreamy and sacred, especially at Spring Lake.
You’ll know our wedding venue is special the minute you drive through our gates. You’ll drive along the field and see the lake just across the way. But you’ll most likely be looking out for the wedding barn and lakeside ceremony location.
And when you get out of the car and walk out onto the dock to take in the fresh air and gentle summer breeze, you’ll be certain. And if you still aren’t certain, you’ll just need to take a step into our perfectly rustic wedding reception barn and look up at the gorgeous lofted ceilings.
But we really love the country lakeside view. Nature is more beautiful than anything we’ve created, and, thankfully, we’re surrounded by it here at Spring Lake.
It really is a dream here. And a lot of other people think so, too.
That’s why we’re giving you the head’s up that you want to book our venue early. And we promise. We really are already booked if we told you we are. No joking.
