Spring Lake Events is one of North Georgia’s very best Rustic Wedding Venues. The venue has been featured in The Knot Magazine and has won multiple Couple’s Choice Awards from Wedding Wire. Reviews from couples and families that have experienced weddings at the venue, speak volumes about the level of service they provide.
A Rustic Wedding Venue Requires Weekly Maintenance
Tasks such as watering shrubbery & flowers, pressure washing the concrete floors or wiping dust and cob webs from fixtures and surfaces are just a few of the routines that take place any given week. The lawn & landscaping team work diligently to keep the grass manicured. Flower beds are always full of fresh vibrant flowers. Clean pine straw is always fluffy around the trees and the edges of the beds are always crisp. It is evident from the moment you pull through the entry gates that the facility is loved and well cared for.
Keeping the Lake Clean
The lake is a signature feature of Spring Lake and a prime reason it is named one of the best rustic wedding venue’s in North Georgia. The lake is fed by a small spring to the North of the property, hence the name Spring Lake. The water is full of a variety of fish including bream, bass and a few reclusive catfish. While the spring keeps the lake circulating, there are times during the Summer that algae can begin to cloud the water. During these mid summer months or after intense rains, the water is treated with a pro-biotic (fish safe, of course.) This helps to control the algae and keep the lake pristine. The staff at Spring Lake work diligently to keep the lake clean and free of debris. Thanks to the clarity of the water, it often mirrors the surrounding landscape and makes for a photographers dream.
The Ceremony Site of a Rustic Wedding Venue
When you think rustic, you think unkept, untamed, unbothered; which is true, most of the time. Spring Lake is truly a rustic wedding venue, gem. It has a natural beauty about it that never seems to age; mostly thanks to Renty & Mike’s meticulous care. Antique church pews sit lakeside under the willows. The elements of the weather certainly take their toll, but you’d never know it. In an effort to prolong their life, the church pews are sanded and resealed every year. Gentle yet rigorous care go into preserving these pews, just another way that Renty & Mike show their un-compromised affection for the venue and what it offers to couples.
The large cedar arch is another notable feature found at the ceremony site. The arch was hand crafted for Spring Lake in 2010 and has remained a staple in the venues charm. It has been allowed to age and weather naturally but don’t think it goes without care. Every wedding dresses is up in flowers and draperies and after every wedding the arch is carefully stripped of decorations to prevent any staining or marking.
