There are so many different things that you need to think about while you’re planning your wedding. As the date gets closer, it’s normal to feel more and more stressed. Because there are a variety of different factors to consider, we’ve put together this list that you can use to plan out your wedding beauty prep.
1 Year Out
It may seem silly to start your beauty prep one year out, but this is a great way to get a handle on things and make sure that you’re giving yourself enough time.
Some people choose to meet with a dermatologist at this point. This is an excellent way to make sure you have the best complexion possible and start using any products early. Speaking with your dermatologist about your skin goals can give you peace of mind, so consider making an appointment sooner rather than later.
9 Months Out
So you’ve already gone to a dermatologist… But what about getting a facial? Many people start getting facials about nine months out from their wedding. This is a good way to prep your skin and make sure that it’s at its best.
If you’re going to be making any big changes to your hair, now is the time to do it. Especially if you’re going to be trying out a new color, this will give you time to fix it if it doesn’t turn out the way that you want it to. Whether you’re cutting your hair or trying a new treatment, starting at this point is a good way to set yourself up for success.
4 Months Out
The big day is getting closer! At this point, you should be getting your hair and makeup trials done. This gives you enough time to make adjustments if needed, but hopefully everything will go perfectly the first time!
Some people also consider starting to take special vitamins (such as for their hair and nails) at this point. If you’re going to be making any changes to your health and wellness routine, it’s always a good idea to speak with a medical professional before doing so.
2 Months Out
This is one of your last chances to make any big decisions, such as your wedding nail color or if you’re going to be tanning. Making those decisions at this point will give you a chance to practice whatever you’ve chosen and make sure you’re on the right track.
2 Weeks Out
The big day is almost here! At this point, you should be regularly exfoliating and doing any beauty treatments you choose. It’s also a great chance to get your brows done and make sure that your nails are how you want them.
5 Days Out
At this point, you may want to get waxed so that your skin has time to recover. You should also stop using any products that are intense, such as retinol.
1 Day Out
At this point, the best thing you can do is relax! Reducing stress and doing whatever you can to enjoy the time before your big day is important.
