Let’s talk about ways you can prepare for it to rain on your wedding day.
At Spring Lake Events, we absolutely love hosting weddings at our outdoor Georgia wedding venue. While outdoor weddings have many pros, rain is one of the top things that many couples are apprehensive about. The good news is that there are lots of ways that you can be proactive and prepare for possible rain on your wedding day.
Let’s get started and go over some of the top ways that you can prepare and make sure that you and your guests have the best experience possible at your wedding.
Getting Started
One of the great things about having forecasts so readily available is you’ll most likely know the chance of rain on your wedding day. Whether the chances are high that it will rain or low, it’s important that you make sure you have plans in place if you’re going with an outdoor venue. If you have chosen an outdoor venue, know that there are so many great ways to plan for rain and it should absolutely not stop you from having the best day ever.
At Spring Lake Events, we’ve seen couples go with a variety of different options when it rains on their wedding day. Below are some of our favorite choices. Take a look and see if any of them could be right for the wedding day that you’re planning.
The Right Footwear
One of the most important things to consider is the footwear that you’ll be wearing. Having the right shoes can make all the difference if it rains on your wedding day, as you want to make sure you’re both comfortable and stylish. Consider having multiple different footwear options that you can wear in case it rains. There are so many great examples that you can consult online for what Brides in the past have done for rainy day footwear.
Tents
Some outdoor venues have a 10 option that you can use if it rains. Planning on using a tent can take away some of the stress and pressure if it rains on your wedding day, so take a look at the forecast and see if this is a plan that you want to move ahead with. Asking an outdoor venue if they have tents available can also be a great way to narrow down your venue options and make sure that you are choosing the right venue for your time of year.
Umbrellas
One option that we absolutely loveIs having umbrellas for your guests. Not only can this be a fun touch but it can look great in pictures. Consider seeing if there’s a way that you can rent umbrellas in your area, as it could be costly to purchase an umbrella for every single one of your guests.
Communicate with Vendors
Another important thing to think about is the vendors that you’ll be working with. During the vendor selection process, you can ask them if they have any experience working in the rain and if the weather will impact the overall experience that they are providing.
