If your wedding day is fast approaching, you may be feeling a little bit stressed. While this is completely normal, it’s definitely not a fun experience. When it comes to stress on your wedding day, there are a few different things that you can do to calm down and enjoy the moment. Let’s go over some of our favorite ways you can reduce your stress on your wedding day.

Eat a Healthy Meal

Many brides forget the importance of eating on their wedding day. This is an essential part of making sure that you have energy and that your body is fueled properly for one of the most important days of your life!

Make sure that you plan ahead and there’s a healthy meal you can eat before your ceremony. You’ll most likely feel more stressed if you’re hungry, so do yourself a favor and plan to have a meal (or at least a few snacks) on your big day.

Plan Ahead of Time

If there’s something that you can do or plan ahead of time, you should. It’s essential that you take as much off your plate as you can on your wedding day so that you can focus on what’s in front of you and you can enjoy the moment.

Consider going through your wedding day in your head and thinking about some of the things that might pop up. This could mean having an extra pair of shoes in case your heels get uncomfortable or having a smoothie ready in case you get hungry.

Vendor Tipping

Most people will have vendors that need to be tipped on their wedding day. One of the best ways to deal with this is to designate someone else to be in charge of tipping. In an ideal world, this person wouldn’t have any other responsibilities and can solely focus on making sure that the money is distributed properly.

If you’re going to have someone else be in charge of tipping, make sure that you have a clear list of which vendors should be tipped and how much. You could even put the tip money in individual envelopes that the person just then needs to hand to the vendors.

Clean Up

Many people don’t think about the clean up that will need to happen after their wedding. Be sure that you and your venue are on the same page about how and when clean up will happen. Most venues will have some details about this in their contract, so be sure that you’re clear about what terms and restrictions there are.

If you take too much time to clean up or don’t do a good enough job, then you may have some added fees when it comes to your venue bill. The best way to avoid this is to make sure that everyone’s on the same page and that you have a plan ahead of time for how the clean up process will go after your reception ends.
