Have you seen our vintage wedding arch? It is one element of our wedding venue that we are especially proud of.

Vintage Wedding Arch

It’s a handmade arch made of natural cedar trees. It is natural, rustic, and so easy to customize. It creates a natural focal point at our outdoor wedding ceremony location. It’s a trusty backdrop in almost all our wedding ceremony photos.

We happen to think it’s pretty amazing just the way it is, but we’ve also seen it decked out as brides have decorated the arch to coordinate with their custom wedding themes, colors, and flowers.

Vintage Wedding Accents

Many brides choose to accent the handmade cedar wedding arch with large sprays of flowers. Often, using flowers to accent the corners brings just the right amount of wedding theme color to the ceremony location without spending extra time and effort in custom decor elements or feeling over-the-top.

Check out these photos to see the arch decorated for various weddings we’ve had at Spring Lake over the years.

Vintage Wedding Arch Decor

First, this is what the arch looks like without any extra florals or decor elements. We think it’s a beautiful rustic piece, even without anything added. Simple and classic.

This bride used florals sparingly to soften the arch. Simple and elegant. (We love the groom’s thumbs up here! :D )

This bride made a backdrop with cute vintage bottles and flowers hung by ribbons. We think it’s pretty cute.

This wedding had some of the most amazing wedding flowers. The arch was just dripping with flowers, really accentuating the arch. It looked like the couple was tucked away in a secret garden with a view of the lake in the distance. This wedding had a luxe but rustic vintage theme that we adored.

This is an example of how to use bright florals to accentuate the cedar arch and really bring your wedding colors into the ceremony location. The red is used as a great accent color, used in the bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers in the arch, bouquet, boutonnieres, and the aisle flower arrangements. The strong red is balanced with white to soften and lighten the decor.

We just adore how this bride incorporated the draping fabric over the arch. It is an awesome rustic elegance to it that we adore. And the florals at the top were just the right touch.

This bride used a lighter weight fabric and added tiny flowers in bunches. We love how it turned out!

This arch floral is just dripping with elegance. This was a very classically Southern wedding and we love the richness of their decor.
